Takadanobaba on Acid
Tripping down the street of this Tokyo neighborhood, what did we see....
This artwork is based on one of the first illustration assignments we ever did, in which we made 5 panoramic illustrations of street scenes in the Takadanobaba neighborhood of Shinjuku, Tokyo for a book published by Chin Music Press. Recalling how overwhelmed he felt the first time he ever set foot in Tokyo, Dan layered the 5 illustrations atop one another to recreate the nearly psychedelic sensory overload of that immense city.
